數位藝術中的新與舊

科技的革新發展不僅玫變了社會的運作機制,同時也對藝術的創作過程及呈現方式產生深遠影響。自20世紀下半葉起,數位電腦科技在繼錄像技術之後,逐漸被藝術家納入為主要的創作媒材與工具,數位藝術(Digital Art )也就此成為藝術史上的新範疇。數位電腦影像在20世紀末的風行所引起的,不僅僅是新的藝術思潮,還有對固有美學的衝擊。本文主要在探討數位藝術美學及其承襲傳統與獨特創新的面向,文章中,將先就數位作品的創作過程與表現形式作一概觀式介紹,接著將針對數位藝術的美學特色作一闡述,以互動作品中的「未完成」美學(Non-finito)、數位作品中「模擬的真實J(Simulated Reality)以及電子影像的「無形/非物質性J (Immateriality)等三個論點出發,分析這個 新科技藝術與其他固有藝術形式的異與同。
The technological innovation and development change not only the social operating mechanism, but also the process of artistic creation and presentation. From the later twentieth century the digital computer technology, subsequent to the video, is fitted into the main art media. Digital art becomes the new category of art history thus. The popularity of digital images causes the new trend of thought in contemporary art as well as the impact on traditional aesthetics.This article focuses on the aesthetics of digital art. It begins with an overview of the creative process and presentation of digital artworks and then investigates their characteristic: ”Non-finito”, ”simulated reality” and ”immateriality”. According to these three features the new and the old aspects of digital art are further to be researched.
